Jimmy Koh is vice president, head of economics-treasury research at United Overseas Bank (UOB) in Singapore. Karamjit has some 15 years of real estate consultancy and marketing experience from work at Henry Butcher Appraisal Group, Colliers Jardine and Jones Lang LaSalle, before cofounding Credo Real Estate.

Credo Real Estate is a property consultancy specializing in real estate investments and collective sales. Within six years, it established itself as a market leader in terms of volume and value of sites sold – with projects totaling S$2.2 billion in 2007 alone. This includes Singapore’s largest ever private residential land transaction for the 618-unit Farrer Court at S$1.3388 billion.

Karamjit holds a first-class honors degree in finance from the National University of Ireland, along with an Advance Diploma in Real Estate & Property Management and a Diploma in Business Administration.

Dr. Yang Liang CHUA

Current Responsibilities
Dr Chua Yang Liang is Local Director of Jones Lang LaSalle’s Research team. As a team leader for the firm’s local and sub-regional research service, he is responsible for the research and market commentary in Singapore and South East Asia which includes Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia. Specific responsibilities include research forecasts and analysis for the local auctions, commercial, industrial, investment, residential and retail sectors as well as conducting client specific market research. Dr Chua is also Jones Lang LaSalle’s media spokesperson for the Singapore property market. He oversees a team of three senior research analysts and works closely with the regional Real Estate Intelligence Service (REIS) team based in Singapore.

Experience
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Dr Chua lectured in urban planning at the University of Pennsylvania where he helped developed an online service for the provision of socio-demographic and economic data using Geographical Information Systems. He was also one of the recipients of a US Department of Housing and Development (HUD) Federal grant to research on neighborhood transitions using spatial statistics and multi-agent simulation.

Positions
Dr Chua was an urban planner with the Urban Redevelopment Authority from 1995 to 1998, where his responsibilities included the preparation of Development Guide Plans, strategic policies and transportation studies. He had also conducted a year-long research study that benchmarked Singapore against other world cities and is one of the lead contributors on Land Use and Environment in the Singapore Futures Project by the Institute of Policy Studies.

Mr. David SANDISON

David is a partner in PwC Singapore’s Tax practice and has some 24 years of tax experience in South East Asia. He has spent most of his time dealing with international advisory work across a whole spectrum of industries including energy, communications, construction, shipping, real estate, banking and insurance.

Dr. Seow Eng ONG

Dr ONG Seow Eng is Professor of Real Estate at the National University of Singapore. He holds a PhD in Finance from Indiana University and has substantial experience in investment and portfolio management, derivative analysis and property valuation. He held office as president, Asian Real Estate Society (2002/3) and president, International Real Estate Society (2006/7). Seow Eng was the recipient of the 2005 International Real Estate Society achievement award for outstanding research, education and practice at the international level. His research interest includes securitized real estate, REITs, real estate derivatives, mortgage prepayment and default, price discovery and housing finance issues.
